Dear [NAME],

NEWS

New Release Version 2.3-Build 1631 is now available on the website.

This exciting release harbors a lot of new functionality and user interface updates.
• The Gas Mixer has been updated with a Van Der Waals mixing model and a wide selection of top off options.
• The introduction of the Altitude Tool shows you how high you can go after your dive. Also how breathing gasses at the surface will influence the altitude effect. Try it and see why the many highly experienced divers claim they can go on an airplane with wet hair.
• The Bailout Tool has been upgraded with a longer than profile time so the bailout can be more applicable then before.
• The Waypoint Editor can now also show the PPN2 and PPHe in addition to the CNS and PPO2. Great for checking out the N2 and HE spikes in your decompression gasses.
• The User Interface has been updated to the XP User interface. If you run GAP under XP you will see a real XP application.
• There were some minor issues with XP on some machines; the redesign of the User Interface makes these a thing of the past.

The German CMAS organization, VST, is starting a program which enables its members to follow Nitrox and Trimix courses. The tables for this organization are made by Berhard Hahn the son of the famous Max Hahn. Gap-Software assists in creating these tables by providing the GAP-RGBM desktop program to Berhard. Talks are started to supply the VST organization with an OEM version of GAP-RGBM

We at GAP-Software are continuing to create new exciting products for the diving world. At this point in time we are developing a new product to be called GAP-Medium. GAP-Medium is an extension of the Gap-lite product, used on the Pocket PC, for the desktop.

Alp Maritimes Marine Institute has opened its doors in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. They are unique in the region in that they offer a full range of diving from basic to mixed gas instructor and all gases including helium and oxygen. The Institute use exclusively GAP with RGBM to ensure safe diving. www.technicaldivingops.com

There is a rumor that there will be an ANDI expedition to the Britannic. If this will be true then GAP-Software will certainly supply the decompression software for this expedition as we did for the Manao expedition.

Excerpts

” In May 2004 a team of ANDI’s top (American Nitrox Divers International, Ltd.) divers traveled to Indonesia to explore the depths between 125 and 150 meters on the slope of Manado Tua Island (North Sulawesi).”

“The ANDI team used their own proprietary software to plan, calculate and log these dives in the 500 fsw range. This cutting-edge software is now commercially available under the trade name ANDI-GAP DivePlanner.”
